利用しやすくするには

日本道路公団の高速道路では、インターの間隔が平均１０キロで 米国の２倍と長いことが利用が増えない要因の１つ。
要因の１つである事は認めるけれど、決して主要な要因、
まして７５億円も使うべき要因とは思えないなぁ。
高速道路の利用が敬遠される理由、そんなの料金が高い
（と感じる）からじゃないの？多少値下げして効果あるかとか
やってるみたいだが、相当料金低くすれば「木曽高速（注※）」
なんてバカな話はなくなるでしょ。
実際、アメリカと比較するならアメリカで有料道路がどのくらい
あって、どのくらい利用されているか、そっちの方が参考に
なるんじゃないのかなぁ？！
※木曽高速【きそ－こうそく】
もちろん本当の高速道路の事では無く、中央道の中津川～塩尻間の
国道１９号線の事を一般に指す。
この区間はいわゆる木曽地域を走り抜けるため、住宅などもほとんど
無い地域となる。そのため、特に夜間などはこの区間を高速道路
代わりに利用するトラックなどがかなりのスピードで走行している。
だいたい80km/h程度、大抵はそれ以上。
そのため、制限速度をちょこっとオーバー、くらいのスピードで走って
いるとまず間違いなくトラックなどにあおられる。そのあおり方も尋常
じゃない（暴走、じゃない、珍走族並み）ので、免許取りたてとか
運転に自身が無い、気が小さいとか心臓に不安があるなんて人は
悪い事言わないから高速道路で通行する事をお勧めする。
ただ、実際に信号も少なく、道そのものも直線的に結んでいるせいか
実際に夜間だと高速道路と比べても似たような時間で到着してしまう。

それを考えると高速道路使用を促すには料金の見直し以外無い物と
考えられる。また、それが行われないと不必要に高速で走る車重の
重いトラックによる道路の補修費用に利用者本人以外の多くから
預けられた税金が使われる、なんて不条理も発生する。
